You didn’t start your business to spend your evenings reconciling transactions and tracking down receipts… but I kind of did.
I’ve always been the person who genuinely enjoys making numbers make sense. After earning my bachelor’s in accounting and MBA, I spent 7+ years in corporate accounting. There, my days were filled with researching the weird problems, digging into the details, and figuring out why the numbers weren’t quite adding up.
Eventually, I realized I wanted to use that experience a little differently.
I started Blue Heron to bring the same level of care and expertise to small business owners, just without making accounting feel so... accounting-y. I want you to have accurate books, understand what your numbers are telling you, and feel completely comfortable asking questions along the way.
And when I’m not buried in a spreadsheet? You’ll probably find me with an iced coffee in hand, hanging out with my husband and our Cavalier, Maple, planning my next trip, or finding an excuse to sit on a patio.
